In 2018, the University entrance is based on the results of National High School Graduation Examinations; Competency Assessment Results; International A-Level Certificate; and SAT scores. Detailed information is as follows:
1. Admission on the results of National High School Graduation Examinations:
Students need to meet the quality assurance standards set by VNU and MOET.

In particular, for International Business and Economics, Business Administration, Finance and Banking, Accounting and Auditing, English subject scores multiply by 2 (major subject).
b) Sub-criteria:
* International Business and Economics, Business Administration, Finance and Banking, and Accounting and Auditing:
- Sub-criteria 1: If the overall marks of the candidates at the end of the list are equal, English scores will be considered for admission.
- Sub-criteria 2: According to the order of their registered options to the University.
* Economics and Development Economics:
- Sub-criteria 1: If the overall marks of the candidates at the end of the list are equal, Math scores will be considered for admission.
- Sub-criteria 2: According to the order of students' registered options to the University.
2. Admission on Competency Assessment Results: Candidates who reach the entrance quality assurance standard at least 70.0/140.0, and haven’t enrolled in any other university of VNU are allowed to register for admission at UEB.
3. Recruiting based on International A-Level Certificate: Candidates who reach the entrance quality assurance standard using international A-Level certificate to combine the results of 3 subjects in their fixed groups to ensure that each subject’s score is at least 60/100(similar to the grade of C, PUM range ≥ 60) are allowed to register for admission at UEB.
4. Recruiting based on SAT score (Scholastic Assessment Test, the United States): Candidates reaching the entrance quality assurance standard of VNU are allowed to register for admission at UEB.
