Prof. Tran Van Nhung awarded certification to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vu Duc Thanh
On 12th November 2015, two lecturers of the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) together with hundreds of educators across the country were honored at the Conferral Ceremony for Professorial Titles 2015 held by the State Council for Professorial Titles at the National Convention Center.
Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Dinh The Huynh - Member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Central Committee, Head of the Central Department of Propaganda and Education, Mr. Tran Dai Quang - Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan - Member of the Central Committee, Vice President of the State, Mr. Pham Vu Luan - Minister of Education and Training, Chairman of the State Council for Professorial Titles.
According to Prof. Tran Van Nhung - Secretary of the State Council for Professorial Titles: In 2015, the total number of educators registered for the titles of Associate Professor and Professor is 681 people. After 3-level-examination, 52 educators received the title of Professor (account for 70.27%) and 470 educators qualified for the title of Associate Professor (account for 77.43%). The rate of lecturers being appointed Associate Professor and Professor rose dramatically, higher than that in 2014 and previous years.
Among 470 newly appointed Associate Professor, there were two lecturers of the VNU University of Economics and Business, including Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vu Duc Thanh - Faculty of Development Economics and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Duc Hiep - Faculty of Political Economics.
