On 14th October 2015, Vietnam Certification Center (QUACERT) under Vietnam Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality held the 3rd surveillance - stage 2 for the quality management system ISO 9001:2008 at VNU University of Economics and Business.
After the opening session, two members of the surveillance team - Mr. Nguyen Lam Hoang and Mr. Pham Duc Tho assessed 7 member units of the UEB, namely: Office of Academic Affairs, Center for Higher Educational Quality Assurance, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of International Business and Economics, Faculty of Finance and Banking, Faculty of Accounting and Auditing and Faculty of Political Economics. This surveillance aimed at evaluating training activities, quality assurance testing within certified scopes of higher education, postgraduate, scientific research in the field of economics and business administration.
After an active day, Quacert completed the 3rd surveillance - stage 2 for quality management system ISO 9001: 2008 of the UEB.

Reporting assessment results, Mr. Nguyen Lam Hoang - Leader of surveillance team said: “QUACERT highly appreciates the concerns of UEB leaders in implementing and maintaining the system. The staff, teachers are highly qualified, well-experienced and always follow procedures and regulations set forth. In addition, the team also recommended the UEB to prepare for assessment of the 3rd stage of ISO 9001:2015”.
The surveillance team came to conclusion that there were no inconsistencies and suggested Quacert to maintain certificate of the UEB’s Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008.
