Review conference of research and training activities in 2013 - 2014 academic year

At the review conference of training activity
On 27th June 2014, the VNU University of Economics and Business held a conference to review the fields of research, training, cooperation and quality assurance of the university in the 2013-2014 academic year.


At the conference, the UEB officials in charge of research, cooperation, training and quality assurance activities have presented report on their field. 
Accordingly, in the 2013 - 2014 academic year, being accompanied by the efforts of the UEB staff, faculty members and students, the university has succeed in major activities compared to previous academic year, especially the priority tasks.
In terms of research and cooperation, the university has launched three state-level research projects and proposed the topic for other projects. International articles of the UEB faculty members remarkably increased, 12 of which especially published in ISI and Scopus database. In 26 international articles, there are 12 articles published in journals of ISI / Scopus (while the number in 2012-2013 academic year is three). The university also strengthened its consultancy activities and short-term training course for businesses and local organizations, expanding the coordination between the offices and centers of the university. Besides, faculty members and students of the UEB continued to receive the honorable award in research field.
Regarding training, the university has completed the planning of training programs to 2020 and successfully defended the plan in front of VNU Board. The UEB also opened new training programs, which were allowed to recruit in 2014, including doctoral programs in Finance - Banking and regular bachelor’s program in Business Administration. In addition, training discipline and quality at the university is improved; management document system of undergraduate and postgraduate programs are standardized.
 Regarding quality assurance, besides completing the self-assessment on the undergraduate training programs of Business Administration (international standards) and International Economics (honor program), the university implemented the actual quality assessment of AUN for the international standard bachelor training programs in Business Administration in May 2014.

However, apart from these achievements, there are still some uncompleted tasks, which were canceled or delayed. The review report also analyzed the objective and subjective causes and proposed the direction the academic year 2014-2015.
At these sessions, the UEB Management Board and representatives of the UEB offices and faculties have discussed about the review report as well as recommended the tasks for the new academic year. In particular, the participants have analyzed the challenges and the potentialities of the university, the priority tasks and their direction of solutions as well.
Accordingly, the university has finished the review of 2013-2014 academic year. The UEB offices of other fields also completed the report for submission towards the final review conference of the university.
