Jang Eun Hyun: “GPAC 2010 brought me home”

Jang Eun Hyun presents at GPAC 2010
Participating in GPAC 2010 in the position of Soul National University team leader, Jang Eun Hyun has showed the leadership through his self-confidence in communication and presentation.

Not many people knows that he had a 7 years period living in Hanoi. We had a brief discussion with Jang Eun Hyun right after GPAC finished.

- How do you feel about international friends at GPAC this time?

I think it was an excellent chance for me to interact with students from foreign countries. It was not only a chance to indulge ourselves academically but to exchange our cultures and get a better understanding of the diverse customs and cultures.

- And how about Hanoi?

The experience in Hanoi was especially unique to me as I have lived in Hanoi for 7 years. Therefore, it was like a home coming for me. What impressed me the most was how fast Vietnam has developed since I left in 2003.

- What can you say about the presentation teams? Which presentation or essay are you impressed most?

I think the most well unified team was the New Challenge for management team. I think everybody participating in GPAC worked hard to develop and present their ideas, but what mattered the most for me was how much integration could be achieved with in the teams and I cannot think of a better candidate than NC for management who presented us with a well unified idea.

- How can you assess your presentation? And how do you think about it in comparison with other teams’ presentations?

Many team members were very passionate in presenting their topics in our meeting. However, our team, international economics, did not succeed in integrating all these topics. It was very hard to come to an agreement between the team members on which topic should be included (or excluded) on the final presentation. I think we did a poor job in this as few team’s ideas were left out. I realize the efforts and time each team has devoted to their topic and want to apologize again for the hasty decisions.

- What do you hope for GPAC 2011?

I have enjoyed this year’s GPAC to the fullest. I couldnot have asked for a better team, time and place for GPAC to be held. Although, I would like to have a softer bed next time. Furthermore, I think it was a great chance to see the beauty of Vietnam and I hope I could have as much fun I had in Vietnam during next years GPAC.
