I. GENERAL INFORMATION
The Center for Higher Educational Quality Assurance, VNU
University of Economics and Business was established under Decision
No.2175/QD-TCNS on 9th December 2009 by the UEB's Rector. The
Center is founded with the mission to strengthen effectiveness of training and
academic activities of the VNU-UEB, aiming at becoming a prestigious consulting
center on quality assurance, a link for international and domestic
organizations of quality assurance and training institutes in Vietnam.

III. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Functions:
The Center for Higher
Educational Quality Assurance has the function of advising and assisting the Rector
to organize and manage the evaluation, testing, quality assurance of education
and examination of the University.
2. Responsibilities:
2.1. Advising to develop
and issue documents (regulations, guidelines, plans...) on quality assurance
and testing.
2.2. Organizing the
implementation, inspection and reporting on these following tasks:
a) Quality
assurance
- Implementing the quality
assurance of education and training programs of the University as regulated.
- Managing/monitoring/organizing
assessment activities at the UEB.
- Proposing plans of
improvement after internal assessments; guiding, monitoring and checking the
implementation of quality assurance at the University.
- Studying and
implementing application of domestic and international quality assurance
models.
- Building and expanding partnership
with international quality assurance and accreditation organizations in
education.
- Organizing the storage
and confidentiality of the University's database on quality assurance and
quality accreditation.
- Organizing professional
training courses on quality assessment, quality assurance and testing for
staffs of the University as well as social and educational organizations.
- Acting as a focal point
for reporting the University's quality assurance in accordance with regulations
of the Ministry of Education and Training, VNU and other stakeholders.
b) Testing
- Advising on building
exam questions for the faculty / institute.
- Receiving and managing
test question bank according to regulations provided by the faculties /
institutes. Ensuring confidentiality of the test questions.
- Supervising the implementation
process of testing activities in the University.
- Providing the exam
questions of questions bank managed by the unit.
2.3.
Coordinating with other functional units in implementing the University's plans
and tasks related to the unit's functions.
2.4.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Rector.
