III.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Functions:
Center of Economic and Management Information System has the
function of advising and assisting the Rector in planning, developing
information technology (IT) systems, managing and consulting to support
operations, applying and developing of IT system towards digital orientation
2.
Responsibilities:
2.1. Advising to develop and issue management documents
(regulations, guidelines, plans, ...) on IT, user support and IT-related tasks.
2.2. Implementing, inspecting and reporting on the
performance of the following tasks:
- Managing and
operating the University's IT system
- Responsible for
engineering, researching and selecting technology for the development of IT
systems to meet the needs of IT application in each development period of the
University;
- Managing the WAN,
LAN, Wifi, call center, video conference systems throughout the University to
ensure that its IT infrastructure works 24/7
- Allocating and
removing IT accounts for users.
- Acting as a focal
point to perform maintenance for IT equipments periodically, build and maintain
IT systems, in charge of software development contracts.
Providing IT
support for users:
- Providing technical
support for units in the University with professional software installed on the
University's server system in software operation and data backup.
- Supporting units
and users to operate IT equipment: Instruct or support projector connection at
the University's meeting rooms and lecture halls, guide or support Internet
access via LAN and Wifi network of the University, support connecting printers
from Wifi network to LAN ...;
- Supporting software
troubleshooting for desktop and laptop users;
- Supporting and
guiding users to exploit Internet resources, VNU's and the University's network
resources.
Performing other
IT-related tasks:
- Designing, building
and expanding the network infrastructure;
- Developing
e-learning services;
- Consulting and
transferring technology in IT field.
2.3.
Coordinate with other functional units in implementing the University's plans
and tasks. 2.4. Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector
