For economic development, especially the increase in welfare for poor parts, to maximize the power of microfinance projects are very important. Not just to explore, discover new problems in this subject, the University of Economics - VNU also noticed the importance of auditing the effectiveness of the project. Thus, microfinance is seen as one of the three main research group of the Department of Finance - Bank.
The team was established with the leadership of the team leader is Dr. Nguyen Phu Ha and the participation of other experts are Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, PhD. Le Trung Thanh, PhD. Dinh Xuan Cuong, PhD. Dinh Thi Thanh Van, PhD. Nguyen Phu Ha, PhD. Nguyen The Hung. The group research products focus on services of microfinance and research training models of microfinance for the poor in the people's credit funds, microfinance institutions in the country and abroad, studying the impact of access to microfinance services to the alleviation of poverty. Also, the group is also collaborating with the provinces and cooperative banks, social policy banks, agricultural banks, international organizations: the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank to evaluate the international projects in the field of microfinance, the poor policy, development policy.
