Scientific research at the UEB is approaching international standard

With the mission to become a research-oriented university of international quality, since 2007 the scientific research activities at the VNU-UEB has achieved many outstanding achievements and is approaching international standard.

On a comprehensive review, the number of articles by the UEB staff and faculties published in international journals has increased constantly. In 2007, the univesity had only three international articles. However, the number of 2012 was 16 articles. Among these, there are several articles published in some international journals, which are recognized in the list of ISI and Scopus databases (according to the r ecent survey by the UEB’s Office of Research and Partnership Development - April 2013). Hence, according to the preliminary statistics, until April 2013, the university has 10 international articles in the ISI categories (Institute for Scientific Information, ISI, USA). Considering the Scopus database, the university currently has 23 research papers. This can be considered as the initial achievement in scientific research of the university.
This demonstrates that the research capacity and quality of the UEB is increasingly improved and approaching towards international standard. Along with the developing research ability, the university has had an encouraging policy, accordingly each scientific article published in international journal receives VND10-15 million. Hopefully, the number of international scientific articles would continue to increase, especially ones in the ISI categories and Scopus databases.
