During the two days, 6th and 7th September 2012, UEB students have participated in Orientation Week with useful information about: new points in training regulations, students’ directions and tasks for a new academic year 2012-2013; Youth Union and Student Union’s Reports on academic year 2011-2012, and 2012-2013 schedule, etc.
In the morning of 7th September, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Rector has attended and introduced about the UEB - where the new students are enjoying their time in the next 4 years. The speech focused on the UEB’s history, development, and missions; opportunities which students could get as well as the expectations of the UEB to students during 4 year studying here.

Beginning with two questions “Why did you choose the VNU-UEB?” and “What do you expect after 4 years at the UEB?”, the discussion between the UEB leaders and new students has brought numerous interesting and ebullient ideas. Among them, the majority of students said that they chose the UEB was because of the passion with economics and business administration fields and the desire to be involved in our economy and society. They also hoped that they would have a good foundation after 4 year studying at UEB to pursue their dreams.
Talking with the new students, the UEB’s Rector shared: “With highly qualified lecturers, modern training programs, internship opportunities in enterprises and organizations who are UEB’s partners, and interaction with international students, etc. the university is creating the most favorable environment for students to fulfill their ability.”
However, the Rector emphasized that it is students who need to continuously study and do research to accumulate knowledge and perfect themselves; actively joinactivities, contributing to build quality culture, community culture and the UEB’s image.
New students are sharing about the reasons why they chose UEB
On the same day, QH-2012-E students got to know training programs, training methods and credit-based system management. It is the essential information that all new students have to know when they start studying at university.
The opening ceremony of new academic year 2012-2013 os the VNU-UEB is expected to be held at VNU’s 10/12 Meeting Hall (144, Xuan Thuy St., Cau Giay, Hanoi) on Sept 21st 2012.
