Attending to the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Head of Credit Department - UOB, representatives of VNU Political - Student Affairs Department, representatives of VNU member universities and students interested in UOB loan program.
This is the fifth time that the program has been implemented and attracted attention from a large number of students from different units. In this phase, there were 91 students of VNU-UEB receiving the UOB loan.
Ngo Thi Tiep, student in Faculty of Political Economics - University of Economics and Business shared with us: “This loan has helped my family not to be anxious about the tuition fee during my university term. My parents would be able to take more care for my younger siblings who are studying at high school. The loan is also a motivation for me to study harder, to make effort to get a job right after graduation and pay back loan for the bank to deserve the preferential treatment of the university and UOB”.
This is the annual activity of United Overseas Bank in cooperation with Vietnam National University to support disadvantageous students in accessing the loan without paying interest to cover the tuition fee. Encouragingly, 6 months after graduation, the students are required to pay back the loan which can be amortized within 36 months since the graduation day.
