UEB students impress STUT representatives

On 9th May 2012, a delegation of Southern Taiwan University of Technology (STUT) has visited and had a working session with leaders and students of VNU University of Economics and Business.


The delegation of STUT led by Executive Vice President, Dr. Hsin Hsing Wu, other members include Dr. Te Kuang Chou -  Associate Dean, STUT College of Business,  Dr. Chi Jo Wang - Vice Chairman, Electrical Engineering Dept., and Officer of International Affairs - Mr. Darby Liao. Receiving the delegation was UEB Rector - Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son, Dr. Vu Anh Dung, Vice Rector and Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh - Head of Research & Partnership Development Office.
To opent the working session, UEB Rector, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Hong Son has welcomed and talked to the delegation members. The representatives of two universities have discussed about several research projects and exchanged the outstanding research publications of the UEB.

The delegation also discussed with UEB leaders on the cooperation opportunities with University of Economics and Business in the fields of research and training cooperation. Dr. Vu Anh Dung has invited the STUT specialists to contribute presentations at the international conference on Sustainable Manufacturing and Environmental Management, which co-organized by the UEB and Nagoya University (Japan) in October 2012 under the framework of Asian CORE Program.
In the working session, the representatives from South Taiwan University of Technology also have meetings and discussions with the UEB student to introduce about the STUT and its scholarships and cooperation training programs. The students of University of Economics and Business have got to know and registed to attend the MBA training program at the South Taiwan University of Technology. Even in the first contact, two students of the UEB were directly admitted to South Taiwan University of Technology to get into the MBA training program. In other words, the two students who are Tran Thi Hai and Le Thi Dung (QH-2008-E International Economics) have passed the profile review, which requires document application. It proves that the UEB students’ qualification has created a good impression with employers and UEB partners in particular and the society in general.
