In addition to ranking U.S. universities and colleges, the U.S. News & World Report has implemented and published the Best Global Universities Rankings to meet the need of the learner in the U.S. to consider enrolling in universities overseas as well as to provide insights into how U.S. universities compare globally.
The 2022 Best Global Universities Rankings ranked 1,750 out of 2,005 participating universities from 90 countries. Best Global Universities evaluates and ranks universities by analyzing scientific databases provided by Clarivate Analytics InCites Corporation. Accordingly, ranked 938th, VNU is among the world’s 1,000 best research universities. Besides, VNU is ranked 241st in Asia.
Regarding the ranking methodology, Best Global Universities assesses universities by 13 indicators listed in the table below, completely objective and focused on research reputation (through surveys) and research quality through data analysis published in Clarivate Analytics InCites database. In particular, only those institutions that have met the minimum threshold of at least 1,250 papers published in the period of 2015-2019 and have been among the top universities in the results of Clarivate Analytics' global reputation survey will be considered. The scholars participating in the research evaluation are selected authors from the Web of Science database, including the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A & HCI).
