UEB responds to the movement “World Savings Day 2021”

October 31st is the World Savings Day. The day was held in many parts of the world and receives enthusiastic responses. This year, the Personal Finance Club of the VNU University of Economics and Business cooperated with the German Savings Banks to organize the "World Savings Day" under the theme of “Save your future".


The event attracted distinguished guests, domestic and international guests. From the VNU-UEB, there were Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Van Hieu - Associate Dean of Faculty of Finance and Banking, Dr. Cao Tu Oanh - President of the Student Union of the UEB and the advisors of the Personal Finance Club: Dr. Trinh Thi Phan Lan and MSc. Pham The Thanh. From German Savings, there were DSIK Mr.Alberto Capati, Mr. Klaus Remmer, Mr.Christian Grajek and Ms. Anna Szalwicki.

 

Throughout the program, the Student Savings Contest with the theme "Management of young people's spending during the COVID-19 pandemic" attracted students participation. Aiming at raising people's awareness about saving, the contest is an interesting playground that brings practical experiences to students across the country. Not only providing a forum to exchange and cultivate knowledge, the contest encourages students to show their talents, bravery and especially to improve necessary skills in the financial management.

 

The Final Round of Student Savings Contest was held on World Savings Day - Gala World Savings Day 2021 via Zoom

 
 
 

The competition consists of 2 rounds: First round of “Come to light” and final round of “Shine up”. Amid the complex situation of the pandemic, the contest was held online. The contest ended with the victory of the Money Talk Team from the Law University, Vietnam National University, HCM City. The BEE4 from the UEB and the Flames from VNU University of Education won the runner-up positions.
