UEB Research and Sharing No.2: Data science in business, trends and job prospects

In the modern society of information technology and artificial intelligence, data science in business receives great interest from the whole society. The second event in the series UEB Research and Sharing was held to give the community information in data science as well as job prospects in this field.

The seminar was held online with the participation of Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business, Mr. To Manh Hoang - Microsoft Certified Solution Expert, Founder of Datapot Analytics Group; Dr. Nguyen Van Phuong, - Data Scientist, Data and Analytics Division (D&A) - Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) and Dr. Nguyen The Kien - Deputy Director, Center for Socio-Economic Data and Analysis (CSEAD) of the UEB together with lecturers, students and over 100 interested participants.

In the opening speech, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu said: “The UEB’s mission is to provide qualified human resources for the society, become the leader university in applied research. We held this series of UEB Research and Sharing to spread knowledge and create forums for lecturers. We hope that this will provide useful information for those who interested as well as give our lecturers and students knowledge that help them in their future job and careers.”

The seminar focus on the main contents: Data science and business applications with presentation of Mr. To Manh Hoang – Microsoft Certified Solution Expert; job requirements in the field of data science presented by Dr. Nguyen Van Phuong from Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank and job prospects for students in the field of data science shared by PhD. Nguyen The Kien – Deputy Director of CSEAD.
