The conference lies within the framework of the national-level project "Allocating resources in the socialist-oriented market economy of Vietnam: Current situation, problems and solutions", code KX.04.14/16-20, under the national key program in science and technology KX.04/16-20. The project was leaded by Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Hong Son - Deputy Head of Central Economic Commission, Former Rector of the UEB.
The conference was attended by leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business together with a large number of managers and scholars from ministries, departments, and research agencies etc.
There were 23 articles presented in the Conference Proceedings. These articles focus on four broad topics: (1) Overview of resources, principles of resource allocation and the impact of resource allocation on economic development; methods of mobilizing and using resources for national development and socio-economic development motivation in Vietnam; (2) New context affecting resources and creates resources for the fourth industrial revolution and the development of the digital economy; the Internet-based economy; (3) The role of the government in allocating resources and the role of culture in the current socio-economic development of Vietnam; and (4) Allocation of resources such as land, water resources, minerals, labor, national budget capital, FDI, ODA, credit for agriculture, science and technology resources etc.
The conference received various opinions from participants, focusing on current situation and mechanism to allocate resources of Vietnam, new resources, the new context affecting resource allocation etc.
