11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
Up to now, there have been studies relating to the thesis in Vietnam and abroad, but no one is systematic and comprehensive in scientific basis, situation and solution proposal and effective implementation of CNC transfer from abroad into the key industries of Vietnam.
The thesis inherited and developed announced works and filled up research gaps on technology transfer, especially in high-technology transfers from abroad into the key industries of a developing country as Vietnam which is in the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization process, comprehensive and deeper integration into the world economy.
The thesis posed and studied systematically, comprehensively and deeply high-tech transfer from abroad into key industries of a developing country like Vietnam: content of transfer, form of transfer, criteria and affecting factors.
- Analyzing theory and practice to answer the question: why should Vietnam receive high technology transfer from abroad into its key industries?
- Analyzing and pointing out experience lessons of practical values from the transfer of high technology from abroad into key industries in Vietnam.
- Studying current situation; assessing achievements, limitations, positive and negative impacts and indicating the reasons for success, failure of technology transfer from abroad into a number of key industries of Vietnam .
- Proposing measures to promote and improve the quality and efficiency of high technology transfer into key industries of Vietnam, from policy direction to roles, responsibilities and actions of the State, market, enterprises, factors and conditions facilitating implementation of the transfer.
12. Practical applicability
Completion and successful defense of the thesis help to accomplish theoretical contributions for technology transfer in general, high-technology transfer from abroad into developing countries such as Vietnam and in key industries in particular.
The thesis studied current situation of high technology transfer from abroad into a number of key industries of Vietnam, which reflects, evaluates the results, achievements, limitations, impact of high technology transfer from abroad in businss and production activities of enterprises and this industry. Based on the study, reasons for success and limitations were pointed out. The thesis also proposed solutions to promote success, overcome limitations in order to promote transfer of advanced technology from abroad into the key industry of Vietnam.
The results of the study can be applied to the practice of modern and high technology transfer in terms of target identification, technology-related information, selection, negotiation, contracting, ensuring conditional factors for acquiring, adaptation, master, application, improvement, innovation and diffusion of imported technology in enterprises within key industries in Vietnam in the present context.
13. Further research directions:
To research technology capacity building, endogenous science and technology capacity of Vietnam to enhance technological absorption, improvement, innovation and creativeness towards proactive transfer of high and modern technology in vertical form, from R&D results within Vietnam's economy.
To research policy for mobilization, creation and development of human resources, especially capital and human resources for science and technology development and for the transfer of high and modern technology into Vietnam’s key industries.
To research further about the forms of technology transfer into Vietnam economy and into its key industries, focusing on promotion and improvement the efficiency of high technology transfer through FDI and through license, venture investment cooperation.
