Ceremony of Establishment of MBA Benedictine Alumni Association in Vietnam

On 14 June 2016, VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) in cooperation with Benedictine University organized a warm and solemn ceremony of establishing and launching the MBA Benedictine Alumni Association in Vietnam.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Michael S. Brophy - President of Benedictine University, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Rector of UEB; Ms. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Director of the Center for International Training and Education and more than 100 alumni, current students of the MBA joint program with Benedictine University.

Opening the program are the welcome remarks of the Rector of UEB and the President of Benedictine University. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son expressed his delights to welcome Mr. Brophy as well as all MBA Benedictine alumni returning to UEB in this meaningful event of the two universities.

Mr. Michael S. Brophy - President of Benedictine University was surprised and happy that after years of leaving school, the alumni still remembered the two universities and contacted with each other. He believed that the MBA Benedictine Alumni Association in Vietnam would be a long-term bridge connecting all alumni to support each other in work and in life.

Many MBA Benedictine alumni participate in the Ceremony

After the welcome speeches, the ceremony continued with lively exchanges between the alumni, leaders of the two universities and some lecturers participating in the program including Dr. Craig Nathanson, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh and Dr. Do Tien Long. It seems that memories of the lectures, team works or funny stories of lecturers and students are still kept in the minds of all MBA Benedictine alumni. These memories become more alive through video clips of the classrooms, outdoor activities of 13 intakes.

After that, the establishment Ceremony and official launching of MBA Benedictine Alumni Association in Vietnam took place in a joyful and warm atmosphere. The entire MBA Benedictine alumni agreed with the Charter of the Association and the Executive Board of the Association with representatives from all intakes of the program.

The ceremony ended with a Gala Dinner, a great time for alumni and faculty to exchange and share about their stories, old memories. With this event, the MBA Benedictine Alumni Association in Vietnam has officially operated, creating an exchange environment, a common house for all MBA Ben alumni to gather, share and keep updating.
