Prof. Michael Brophy is the newly appointed President of Benedictine University, his visit has an important meaning to affirm and strengthen the long-term cooperation and strategic relationship between the UEB and Benedictine University. The partnership between the UEB and Benedictine University began in 2008. Up to now, the two universities have developed 7 successful intakes of the Master joint training program in business administration with hundreds of graduates.
Attending the meeting, there were Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, MA. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Deputy Director of the Centre for International Training and Education.
On behalf of VNU-UEB, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Hong Son sent the warmest greetings to the delegation of Benedictine University, especially to Prof. Michael Brophy - The new President of Benedictine University. Later, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector shared more about the strategic relationship as well as the achievements of cooperation that the two universities have achieved in recent years. During the exchange and discussion, representatives of both universities agreed to promote the establishment of the Bachelor joint training programs in Marketing. This program is expected to create more opportunities for students to access advanced knowledge, international teaching methods with preferential tuition rates as well as to improve the capacity for Vietnamese lecturers. In addition, representatives of the two universities also exchanged ideas on other potential cooperation programs such as joint training doctoral program, student and faculty exchange, joint research, event organization and so on.

Ending the meeting, Mr. Michael Brophy on behalf of Benedictine University sent his sincere thanks to the hospitality and warm welcome of the VNU-UEB as well as expressed his appreciation to the ideas and plans of cooperation that both parties have proposed in the meeting. Mr. Brophy confirmed the two universities will continue to exchange information to implement effective programs in the future.
