1. The object and purpose of the thesis research

The purpose of the thesis is to study the theoretical basis and practical economic structure, economic restructuring, the factors affecting the process to ensure shift towards sustainable development in Vietnam South ; Analysis of changes in economic structures Vietnam from 2000 to present ; thus, make some comments on the movement trends and recommendations for evaluation and indicators ; solutions primarily for economic restructuring to ensure rapid economic growth and sustainability in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country .

The object of the thesis is the study of economic structure, economic restructuring, sustainable development, restructuring the economy towards sustainable development from the perspective of political economy.

Regarding methodology, the thesis is based on opinion, theory of Marxism- Leninism and Ho Chi Minh City on economic development, economic restructuring, economic restructuring, sustainable development; thesis is based on the views of the Party for the period of industrialization and modernization of the country, use and inherit the work of the economists in the world and in the country to analyze, comment address relevant issues posed by the practice.

- Use statistical methods, comparison, analysis, inductive, interpretive, positivist, model; in which the authors used statistical methods, comparable to solve the problems in Chapter II; modeling methods I/O to solve the problems in Chapter III.

- For additional information, further studies of the problem, the authors take the time to gather information from local data.

- Use methods to study maps, analyze spatial relationships.

- Clarify the more theoretical issues and practical related to restructuring the economy towards sustainable development;

- Evaluate the process of restructuring the economy towards sustainable development; during the period from 2000 to 2020 and forecasts;

- Building a system of indicators to assess the sustainability of economic restructuring, the views, proposals and solutions oriented primarily to ensure the restructuring of the economy towards sustainable development firmly in our country.

With the point system, analyze the situation and propose solutions, the author hopes to contribute a small part to clarify the theoretical basis and practical restructuring of the economy towards sustainable development firm in Vietnam.
