On 18th March, University of Economics and Business - VNU has organized a seminar to contribute to the drafting of Annual Vietnam’s economic report 2011.
Attending to the seminar were professors, lecturers who have been working at the university and other economic organizations. The seminar was chaired by Dr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Director of Vietnam Center for Economic Policy Research - UEB.
At the seminar, composers of Annual Vietnam’s economic report 2011 have summarized their subject.
Partcipants at the seminar have proposed many recommendations and suggestions for major economic issues of Vietnam. Dr. Le Dang Doanh shared that, the report should pay more attention on some concerns such as Vinashin, PCI, Vietnam’s infrastructure. Besides, human resources issues were particularly concerned, because Vietnam’s human resources have been highly evaluated before, but it has seemed to lessen recently.
Agreed with the above idea, economic experts believed that the economic cases need to be analyzed or even compared to previous typical cases for lessons and encountering methods. Issues such as inflation, gold, commercial banks reform, air service and transport… which are recent concerned issues should be included.
Based on the suggestions by economic experts, the composers of Vietnam annual economic report are completing the work before the official report of 2011.
