Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha awarded students
On 4th January 2010 leaders of University of Economics and Business (UEB) - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) awarded students who won the project “Students doing scientific research 2009” and gave the Gami scholarships 2010 to excellent students who took active parts in the scientific research movement.

At the ceremory, Prof. Phung Xuan Nha, Rector of UEB - VNU complimented students with their high achievements and hoped that they would be the pioneers to promote UEB’s scientific research movements in the next school years.

In 2010 UEB will choose 5 research works of students to support finance as well as assign teachers to help these students receive highest results when the research works finish.

Expectedly, in 2010 there will be many important and significant events of student’s scientific research activities including the GPAC event (Global Partnership of Asian Colleges Event), which will take place in Vietnam with the UEB - VNU acting as the host. GPAC is an annual activity of 6 universities in Asian (Chiba Trade University, Keio University, Meio University, Tranchi National University - Taiwan, Beijing University - China, Seoul National University - Korea and University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University, Hanoi). GPAC Conference is held once a year and organized in turn by members. The group of students organizing GPAC proposed the following topics to prepare for the conference’s discussion:

1. International Finance

2. Macroeconomics

3. International Trade and Investment

4. International Economics

5. Labor Economics

6. Environment Economics

7. New Challenges for Management

UEB will choose the best works from students’ scientific research works this year, which have suitable content with GPAC’s topic to present in the Conference.

Hopefully, with high achievements that UEB’s students have gained and clear research orientation in 2010, the scientific research movement of students will be increasingly promoted.
