The seminar on “Contributing the Ideas to Improving the Annual Report of the Vietnamese Economy in 2008” took place as planned on February 28th and March 1st 2009 at V- resort, Kim Boi, Hoa Binh. It was joint program organized by the Vietnam Center for Economic and Policy Research (VEPR), University of Economics and Business, VNU and Saigon Marketing Newspaper.
Attending the seminar were Dr. Nguyen Quang A from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Dr. Le Hong Nhat from the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh city; Dr. Tran Dinh Thien from the Vietnam Institute of Economics, and Dr. Le Thuy from An Phu Investment Fund. The two representatives of the University of Economics and Business, VNU, attending the seminar were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice Rector and Dr. Vu Quoc Huy, Dean of Faculty of Economic Development
An atmosphere of excitement prevailed as the attendees pursued ideas for improving the quality of the Annual Report. The group of authors attained their goal and left feeling very gratified with their achievements on how to improve the Annual Report.
The representatives of the co-organizer of the seminar, Mr. Dang Tam Chanh - Editorial Director of Saigon Marketing Newspaper actively contributed ideas to the seminar. Also, the two-day seminar at V-resort functioned as a forum for the leading economists of Vietnam and the enthusiastic group of authors to exchange and share ideas on various issues. Currently, the group of authors is summarizing the contributed ideas on how to improve the Annual Report. The ideas were scheduled to be incorporated in the March 2009 Annual Report.
