Objectives:

We use a combination of measures of spatial concentration, qualitative input -output analysis and innovation interaction matrices to identify the horizontal and vertical dimension of innovative behavior of Manager in the textile industry Vietnams. We describe the theoretical basis of innovation, the innovative activities of Manager and show possibilities of application of such behavior based on actual conditions in textile companies in Vietnam.

Main contents:

The research paper is structured as follows. After a short review of the relevant literature on innovation context and chance or risks of invention, we present a multiple-step approach for the measurement of innovative behavior of Manager based on a combination of concentration measures, input–output methods and innovation interaction matrices. We apply this framework to the textile companies in Vietnam and evaluate the actual behavior. The research paper concludes with a measures to enhance the innovative behavior of textile Manager in Vietnam.

Results obtained:

This paper contributes to the literature on systematic theoretical basis of innovation context and methodologies for the identification of innovative behavior.

This research paper can capture various aspects pointed out in practical contributions to develop richer information about the framework for innovation activities in textil industry in Vietnam.
