Objectives:

Land policies is always the basis for state management, regulatory and land allocation in order to use land efficiently. In 11/2006, Vietnam was a member of the WTO, opening up many opportunities and challenges for land management and use in Vietnam. In fact, land policies in Vietnam have been more and more developed. However, this system still includes many shortcomings, loose and overlapping causing waste, and land loss pressing in people. In the future, land policies should continue to change the direction of the following:

1. To renew the land policy should be consistent with transition of economy that to be showed by the economic benefits of citizens, enterprises and efficient management of the State.

2. Ensure consistency of the whole point of owning land.; While expanding the rights and obligations of land use on the basis of harmonization of national interests with the interests of each organization, household families and individuals.

3. Policies and laws on land must demonstrate strategic stature of a major policy.
4. Land policy must be derived from the rules of formation and geographical distribution of land fill.

5. Relations in rural agrarian country now must ensure the following requirements: farmers peace of mind investing in the development of production and facilitate land concentration and land actually become a major important element of economic activity oriented business producing goods.
