Young economists discuss new economic strategies at YSI Asia Convening 2019

Hundreds of young scholars from all over Asia are discussing new economic strategies and presenting their research at the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) Asia Convening 2019, taking place in Hanoi through this Thursday.

Participants will participate in nine round-table discussions on topics ranging from gender inequality, co-operatives, renewable energy and the restructuring of the global economy, to urban economics, Asia’s economic development models, and the future of the Vietnamese digital economy.

"I hope that young scholars will come up with ways to resolve existing issues that directly influence Vietnam. These ideas can help us connect with international scholars to create the foundation for new thought about the issues facing Vietnam, and move toward making these new ideas a reality," said Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Truc Le, Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business.
