Amid the complex situation of covid-19, a special opening ceremony of the new academic year took place online with hundreds fresher, students and learners of the university.

 

Attending the ceremony, from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, there were Assoc.Prof. Pham Xuan Hoan, Director of Planning - Finance Department; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Department; Dr. Nguyen Minh Truong, Deputy Director of the Political and Student Affairs Department. There were also partners of the University, Prof. Andreas Stoffers, Country Director Vietnam, Friedrich Naumann for Freedom Vietnam; Mr. Pham Hung Tien, Deputy Director of Friedrich Naumann for Freedom Vietnam; Mr. Nguyen Duc Nghia, Head of Education Development Department, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales; Mr. Le Hong Thinh, Deputy General Director of IMG Investment Joint Stock Company; Mr. Tran Ngoc Lu, Head of Inspection Committee of ACC Thang Long Company… The ceremony also welcomed Mr. Le Duy Anh - Vice Chairman of Alumni Association of the UEB, General Director of Xuan Hoa Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

 

From the VNU University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Truc Le – Rector together with the Vice Rectors and heads of functional offices, faculties and school.

 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Truc Le said, “With the education philosophy of “education of international standard, independent thinking, maintaining the harmony and tradition, training the leader and experts”, I hope that you will continue our proud tradition and bring your own value to become a global citizen.” After the encouraging speech, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Truc Le beat the drum to officially open the new academic year of 2022-2023.

 

 

 

 

 

Student Dao Anh Nhu from QH2018E Accountant said, this was my last year at the university and my last time attending the opening ceremony, I still felt the excitement just like when I first came to the university. I was so proud to be part of the UEB.

 

 

At the ceremony, the students with highest scores in the university entrance exam and 55 students with outstanding academic achievement were awarded. Also, the “Vietnamese Talent scholarship” founded by PhD. Le Tu Minh – Chairman of IMG Investment JSC. – an alumni of the UEB and accompanying with the university over the last 7 years had been given to three students of the UEB: Nguyen Duc Hau from QH2018E Development Economics, Cao Thi Que - QH2017E International Business and Vo Thi Hoa Mai – QH2017E Accounting.

Representing for partners of the university, Prof. Andreas Stoffers Country Director Vietnam, Friedrich Naumann for Freedom Vietnam and Mr. Le Hong Thinh – Deputy General Director of IMG gave congratulation speech at the ceremony.
