UEB’s young lecturer in research and international publication

Nguyen Anh Tuan in the eyes of lecturers and students of Faculty of Political Economy is a friendly and passionate young lecturer with remarkable achievement in research and international publication. He is currently teaching transaction costs economics, economic research methods, statistical principles and market management in science and technology.


MSc. Nguyen Anh Tuan graduated with a bachelor's degree in advanced business administration from Vietnam Academy of Agriculture in 2014 and graduated with a master's degree in Agricultural Economics, University of Western Australia in 2019. From 2015-2017, he worked as a researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture before winning the Australian Awards Scholarship and coming to Australia to study from 2018 to 2020. In February 2020, he became lecturer at Faculty of Political Economy, VNU University of Economics and Business.

 

To date, he has published 5 articles in domestic journals, 6 articles in prestigious journals that are indexed by ISI/Scopus such as Land Use Policy; Environment, Development and Sustainability; Journal of Agribusiness in Developing and Emerging Economies together with 6 articles pending for review in Land Use Policy, International Journal of Agricultural Sustainability, Environmental Management, Regional Environmental Change, the development studies, International Economics. He also co-authored the book "Analysis of producer behavior - the case of organic tea farmers in Vietnam” (soon to be released).

 

Besides academic contribution, Nguyen Anh Tuan participated in many activities of the university; he is responsible for connecting international scholars, coordinating international research projects and organizing international conferences. He also led the contest "Meeting with PM" of the Faculty of Political Economy in 2020 and 2021.
