Attending the conference were Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Vice Rector, PhD. Pham Minh Tuan - Vice Rector, member of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Trade Union, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Head of the People's Inspectorate, Chairman of the Student Union, leaders of units, and all staff and faculty members of VNU-UEB.

 

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business - Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le said: “The conference is to review the activities and performance of the UEB in 2020 and propose directions and solutions to implement the plan in 2021. The conference is also a forum for staff and faculty members to express their views, contribute ideas, propose solutions for the activities of the University ”.

 

Continuing the program, the Vice Rector PhD. Pham Minh Tuan presented the Summary report of the University in 2020. Accordingly, in the past year, the VNU University of Economics and Business had achieved outstanding achievements such as: Successfully organized the Sixth Party Congress of UEB; Completed the improvement of facilities, green university project for sustainable development; Implemented online learning during the Covid-19 outbreak; Launched the Business Administration training program for Sports Talent; Pioneered in domestic exchange program; Maintained the high enrollment, raised the internationalization index and innovate teaching activities; affirmed the brand name of the UEB in scientific research; Organized many large-scale start-up competitions for students; Completed quality assurance towards international standards; Established the Vietnam-UK Friendship Sub-association at VNU University of Economics and Business.

 

 

 

 

Listening to the leaders of the university, the staff and faculty members were all extremely proud of the continuous efforts made during the past year. Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Dang Minh - Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration said: “Contributing to the UEB is not only carrying out the responsibility to the University but also contributing to the national responsibility as a citizen. An organization that wants to develop must be strong both internally and externally.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summarizing the conference, the Rector of the University of Economics - Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le said that although 2021 expected to come with many difficulties and challenges, the VNU University of Economics and Business has set a target which is reflected in four phrases: "Sustainable development", "National responsibility", "Leading position", "Mobilize all resources".
