On November 30th, 2020, the a conference on the “Assessment on financial resources for higher education in Vietnam” co-organized by VNU-UEB and the School of Education management, HCM City was held in Ho Chi Minh city.
This is the second in a series of international and national conferences on the project Breakthrough
in financial policy solutions for higher education development in Vietnam
2021-2030, Vision 2035", code DTDL.XH-07/19, led by Assoc.Prof.PhD. Le
Trung Thanh. The conference attracted participation of scientists, managers and lecturers.
At the beginning of the conference, Assoc.Prof.PhD. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Academic Affairs of VNU-UEB, and Assoc.Prof.PhD. Ha Thanh Viet - Rector of School of Education management, Ho Chi Minh City, gave speeches to open the conference.
With more than 20 studies, discussions and about 50 participants from universities and national research institutes, the conference was a forum for academic exchanges in the field of higher education in Vietnam with emphasis on issues of university autonomy, university financial autonomy, financial health of university education facilities, mobilization and use of financial resources for university etc.
The discussions presented at the conference were discussed, commented on and proposed by scientists and delegates. The multi-dimensional opinions at the conference helped scientists complete their research, and jointly contributed to helping the study “Assessment on financial resources for higher education in Vietnam” improved.
