According to the admission plan, VNU will enroll 10,320 students within 131 majors, including 14 new majors meeting new demand of the labor market. Many new training programs are designed to train human resources for the upcoming digital transformation revolution such as: Data Science, Electronics and Informatics; Food Science and Technology; Integrated technology for monitoring resources and the environment; Marketing, Japanese Studies, Nursing, Preschool Education, Primary Education etc.

In 2020, VNU will implement the admission methods as announced: (1) Admission based on the results of the National High School Graduation Exam; (2) Candidates with international certificates of Cambridge International Examinations (A-Level); (3) Candidates with SAT score accepted by VNU; (4) Candidates who have an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher (or equivalent international English certificates) and minimum score of 12 for the two remaining subjects.

The direct admission criteria will be announced in early May 2020.

In case the national high school graduation exam is cancelled due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the VNU will hold its own entrance exam in the form of competency assessment. Details of registration and eligibility will be announced by 30th May, 2020.
