Opening Ceremony of BSc. in Business Administration program - Troy University

The opening ceremony of Intake 17 - Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, joint-training program between VNU University of Economics and Business and Troy University was held on 28th October 2018 at 19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi.


The distinguished guests in the ceremony were Mr. Gerald Dial - Alabama Senator, Mr. Jack Hawkins - Rector of Troy University, Mr Earl Ingram - Vice Rector in Academic Affairs, Mr. Sohail Agboatwala - Vice Rector in External Affairs, Ms. Dang Thi Mai Trang - Chief Representative of ICAEW Vietnam. From the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, Dr. Pham Minh Tuan - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Director of Centre for International Training - Education, and many other lecturers and staffs.

 
 
 

The BSBA joint program between UEB and Troy University have had 16 intakes in which 12 ones were graduated. The opening ceremony for Intake 17 is much more special because three new batches are opened with 142 students, a record-breaker number up to now.

 
 

On behalf of the university leaders, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector delivered the greetings to the freshmen and stated his hope for further development of this program, and for that new members of UEB-Troy family will become jewels in the next 4 years. He also confirmed that Troy students were indispensable parts of the UEB, therefore, all the questions and problems of students must be addressed by the university.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Truc Le delivered the greetings 
Mr Jack Hawkins, on behalf of Troy university leaders, said that Troy university had awarded more than 1000 students with bachelor degrees after many years in collaboration with UEB. Currently, many alumni keep close contact with the university; many of them were successful in their career. This proved the effective and on-track cooperation between both universities. He also sent a message to new students that the next 4 years will be a real challenge for their maturity, absolutely not a wander so that students should focus on studying and achieve the best results. He did give an example of Chu Vu Thanh who became one of 18 most outstanding Troy students over the world. In conclusion, he gave great compliments to English proficiency of Troy students - the most important skill for international integration and to become global citizens.
 

In the ceremony, K16 student Nguyen Tuan Thanh, representing for 2nd year students to congratulate and share experiences with newbie, revealing lots of fun things for newbie in the next 4 years.

Being a prestigious training program which strictly follows America standards, the requirements for the students are very demanding. With new high school graduates, this is a good opportunity to affirm themselves but also a big challenge for changing. The sharing from the old students created the belief and cheered up for new students in the long way ahead.
