Positive feedback from students of corporate governance training course

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of the UEB awarded certificates for learners of the 1st course
The new approach of the lecturers was highly appreciated by learners of the first course of corporate governance training for leaders of commercial banks in Vietnam.


The training course was part of the project “Enhancing capacity of corporate governance of commercial banks in Vietnam”. The course was successfully held for 2 days and ending on 14th April at the UEB.

During the course, learners had chances to gain knowledge updated with international standards of corporate governance through group discussion with Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Van  Hai, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Dr. Everrett Myer (New York University) as well as faculty and experts of the project.


Giving feedback after the course, all learners’ review were of “Good” and “Very good”. Many parts of the course were highly appreciated such as “Lecture content”, “Approach of lecturer”, “Document preparation” and “Logistics”. Especially, the learners all agreed that the course is of practical necessity, which is appropriate for their job as managers at commercial banks in Vietnam.

Ms Cao Thi Thuy Nga, Chairman of Military Bank Securities JSC highly valued the practical professional knowledge and new approach of lecturers. She said, the intensive two-day course provided practical and useful knowledge for bankers, especially for bank leaders. She expected the UEB will provide more courses of great value to help Vietnam commercial banks get close to international standard in corporate governance.

Giving speech at the closing ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of the UEB congratulated the learners and expressed his gratitude for the World Bank and the Australian Agency for International Development - sponsors, Vietnam Bank Association and Deposit Insurance of Vietnam - partners as well as learners from commercial banks of Vietnam. He hoped that practical knowledge provided during the course will be effectively applied at work.

 


After the success of the 1st course, in the morning of 16th April, the 2nd training course of “Corporate Governance for leaders of Commercial Banks in Vietnam” was opened at VDIC central office, headquarters of World Bank in Vietnam. Here are some of the first photos of the second course.
