Summary:

Objectives:

To provide the overall view from the theoretical to the practical situation of migration into Hanoi, from which it reveals solutions to enhance effectiveness of management of migration as well as improving quality of life of migrants in Hanoi.

Main contents:

The reasons of migration into Hanoi and its consequences, as well as migration status to Hanoi from 1994 to 2009 and forecasts of the trend of the problem of migration into Hanoi in 2030.

Results obtained:

Subject has the following new contributions:

- Explaining in theory and practice of migration into Hanoi in recent years
- Reflecting the reality of life on migration department in Hanoi today
- Reflecting inadequacies in the management of immigration in recent years in Hanoi.
- Proposing solutions to major classification of migrants as priorities for high intellectual labor, skilled labor; create conditions for immigrants to access public services, Apartment Building for low-income people in suburban area of Hanoi. In the long term, the government need to build a new economic areas to reduce migration pressure on Hanoi. In particular, government should economic development-education-health products in residential areas to keep the rural labor force to stay home.
