“Beyond the very extreme of fatigue and distress, we may find amounts of ease and power we never dreamed ourselves to own; sources of strength never taxed at all because we never push through the obstruction” William James. This was proved through the efforts of students at the competition “Finance Student 2021 – Future Investors”.
The competition held by the Faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU University of Economics and Business for students in the field of finance has come to an end with the champion VNI 1500 from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and University of Foreign Trade.
This is a competition for students majoring in Economics, with a jury of experienced economic experts and business leaders. Over the course of eight seasons, the competition “Finance students” have always received support and companionship from the Board of Management and lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, as well as business partners in the fields of Economics and Banking and Finance. The competition attracts a large number of students majoring in Economics from leading universities in Hanoi.
In May 2021, “Finance students” officially returned. With the theme "Future Investors", the competition attracted more than 50 participating teams. The total prize for winner of the competition value up to 400 million VND, plus training courses and internship opportunities at leading financial enterprises in Vietnam.
This year, due to the impact of the epidemic, the final round of the competition (held on September 10th, 2021) took place online. The four best teams present at the final round includes: LHP Team from National Economics University and Banking Academy, Ph.D from the Foreign Trade University, TORCH from VNU University of Economics and Business, National Economics University and Hanoi University of Industry and VNI1500 from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Foreign Trade University.
After 3 rounds of intense competition at the GALA Final Night (Warm-up, Acceleration, and Finishing Round), the VNI1500 team came from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Foreign Trade University overcame more than 50 other teams to become the winner of the competition this year.
