Finance Students Challenge is an annual competition organized by the Faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU University of Economics and Business Hanoi for UEB’s students in particular and students in Hanoi in general.

In 2019, with the topic of "financial management culmination", Finance Students 2019 has attracted widespread interest and several registrations from students of economics universities in Hanoi, namely Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, Banking Academy, etc.

 

Round 1 - Preliminary Round of Finance Students 2019 officially took place at 6:00pm on March 22, 2019 with the presence of the University Board, Youth Union - Students’ Association and teachers from Faculty of Finance and Banking of the UEB.

Furthermore, many major sponsors from large banks and enterprises, namely Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank, Fiin Financial Technology Innovation Joint Stock Company, Vietsourcing Education Group, BTCValue Valuation Joint Stock Company, with media patronage of Business Forum and other forums, are the indispensable companions for the competition.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking expressed her joy and great pride in nearly 40 registered teams attending the competition and the opening ceremony from top universities.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu said: “Every passing school year, students will be master of choosing topics that are both suitable for their specialties in the fields of finance and banking, accounting, auditing, etc. and adaptable to current trends. This year's topic entitled "Financial Management" is not only a complicated problem for newly established Start-ups, but also an issue for any small and medium-sized enterprises, even big enterprises, corporations and the leading commercial banks in Vietnam.”

Next, Mr. Doan Duc Minh - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PvcomBank) said: “PvcomBank has been accompanying Finance Students for 3 consecutive seasons from the first one just being held internally within the Faculty of Finance and Banking. This year, Finance Students Challenge were warmly welcomed by top university students in Hanoi, which indicates that the spread of the competition is getting bigger and bigger, and the organization is more and more professional as well. One more thing to be confirmed is that PvcomBank reached the right decision on choosing a useful competition for students to accompany for 3 consecutive years”

At the end of the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking represented the Organizing Committee to express thank-you to all sponsors, especially the sponsors attending the opening ceremony: Vietsourcing Education Group, BTCValue Valuation Joint Stock Company, Fiin Financial Technology Innovation Joint Stock Company.
