Faculty of Development Economics begins a new research season with 12 student research groups

On 11th January 2019, 12 student research groups of Faculty of Development Economics, VNU University of Economics and Business presented their research proposals to faculty’s lecturers.


Attending the meeting, there were Dr. Nguyen Quoc Viet - Dean of the faculty and many lecturers, such as Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen An Thinh, Dr. Nguyen The Kien, etc. This year, the number of students joining research competition increased to 12 groups, which increased remarkably compared to the previous years.

Leaders of the groups had 5 minutes to present their topics. After listening to the groups, lecturers of the faculty gave comments on the feasibility and suggestions to develop the projects.

 

Most groups had good topic ideas. There were only some groups who named the topic inappropriate with unrelated references. All groups had been guided by lecturers who would guide and follow up the students throughout the process of doing research.

 
 
 

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Viet was so impressed with the research project on waste in Nam Tu Liem district. He said that this was a topic in need, solving practical problems. He hoped that it will draw inspiration for research movement in the faculty.
