Seminar: Bilateral Business Opportunities between Germany and Vietnam

On 7th August 2015, the Faculty of International Economics and Business, VNU University of Economics and Business held the seminar "Bilateral Business Opportunities between Germany and Vietnam" with speakers Prof. Andreas Stoffers, experts of international management from Germany.



Attending the seminar, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ha Van Hoi - Dean of the Faculty of International Business and Economics (FIBE), Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh - Head of Department of World Economy and    International Economic Relations together with faculty members and students.

In his presentation, Prof. Andreas Stoffers provided an overview on the relationship between Germany and Vietnam, opportunities for ASEAN countries in attracting foreign investment in the context of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) being formed in 2015.  By making use of SWOT analysis, Prof. Stoffers analyzed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges for each country, thereby, making assessment and forecast of the business opportunities between Germany and Vietnam.

The seminar attracted huge interest from lecturers and students of FIBE with many questions and ideas discussed, mainly about the trade relations between Germany and Vietnam, the SWOT analysis, recommendations for Vietnam to attract investment from German firms, as well as the gateway for Vietnamese products to penetrate into German market.
