The evaluation council chaired by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Bo Linh - Deputy Chairman of the Commission of Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly.

The study aimed at clarifying the content, cooperation requirements as well as adjustments of AEC to confront with regional and global changes in the period 2010-2015, thereby, finding opportunities and challenges of Vietnam in its way to participate in the AEC. The project also proposed recommendations for effective participation of Vietnam in the community. Presented at the council, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son summarized the outcome and products of the project as well as its contribution.

Upon completion of the presentation, the project received comments and counter-argument from members of the council. The council highly valued the contribution of the project, both theoretically and practically. Especially, it was carried out in a careful and diligent manner with diversified, convincing and appropriate research methodology with products far exceeded requirements stated in the contract.

The project was highly inspiring, its contagiousness raise the awareness of scientists, policy makers, enterprises, students and citizens of the AEC. The outcome of the project was handed over for application in some policymaking bodies.

 
Overview of the evaluation meeting

Besides, members of the Council also made some suggestions for further research after completion of the project such as development model of AEC after 2015, impact of Chinese strategic changes to AEC in coming time etc.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, on behalf of the research group, expressed his gratitude for contribution of the council. Upon completion of the project, the research group will continue with further researches on AEC such as AEC after 2015 and impact, opportunities and challenges of AEC to some specific industries of Vietnam.

The project was ranked excellent with its products and great contribution.
