UEB researchers participate 5th Annual Conference on Business and Economics

The 5th Annual Conference on Business and Economics was held on 7 and 8 July, 2014 by IPAG Business School (France), one of leading private training institution in business administration. The conference was attended by over 150 scholars from more than 50 organizations, research institutions and leading universities in the world.


Attending this conference, representatives of research team in Banking Restructuring of UEB’s Faculty of Finance and Banking, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu has presented a study on “The impact of ownership structure to the performance of banking system - verified in the commercial banks in Vietnam.”
The presentation received several comments from the delegates at the conference and implications for the next research direction for the group. The research topic on developing countries in general and Vietnam in particular has attracted the attention of scholars at the conference. This is also a good opportunity for lecturers of the UEB’s Faculty of Finance and Banking to exchange and learn experience, seek a research collaboration, as well as publish their international journals with international researchers and scholars.

In the academic year of 2013-2014, the UEB’s research team on banking restructuring lead by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son has four articles published in international prestigious specialized journals, including one journal in Scopus system and two in EconLit ystem.
