To open the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - Party Committee Secretary, Rector of UEB expressed his pleasure with the matureness of generations of students and hoped that: Alumni Association of University of Economics and Business - VNU will be the place to gather generations of students, who are living and working in many areas in the country and abroad to uphold the mutual solidarity and support in study and work. The association will be the link of the university to its alumni in training, scientific research, service business and human resource development.

At the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice Rector of UEB introduced strategic developing orientations, initial achievements as well as existing difficulties of the university. He also appealed to the whole staffs, students, alumni to keep the effort to the development of UEB, building the university to become an international standardized researching university.

After that, Dr. Tran Anh Tai - UEB Vice Rector stated the draft regulations and candidate lists of executive board and permanent board of Alumni Association. UEB alumni discussed and advised UEB Board of Directors about organizational means and association regulation… Permanent board of Alumni Association will be the bridge in setting up website of the association and linking its members. This is the base of the foundation of Alumni Association of University of Economics and Business - VNU. According to the schedule, organizational structure and performance of the association will be completed in the last quarter of 2009.

The meeting ended in cozy and solid atmosphere. The alumni expressed their pride and confidence in developing direction of UEB. Hopefully, Alumni Association in general and each student of University of Economics and Business in particular will be actual bridge between the university and society, positively contributing to the development of the university.

Executive Board of the association will officially present at the soonest time.
