Attending to the celebration were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc - Vice President of VNU; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - Rector of University of Economics and Business; Prof. Nguyen Hoa - Rector of College of Foreign Languages with representatives of Board of Management, Chiefs of training units as well as staffs, lecturers and students from two colleges.
This is the second year that the University of Economics and Business - VNU and College of Foreign Languages - VNU have cooperated in training BA programs, including English Interpretation, Finance & Banking, Business Administration, and International Economics. In this academic year, the UEB enrolled 328 students who have been studying at the CFL to join the second major training of Finance & Banking, Business Administration, and International Economics. The CFL also enrolled 117 UEB’s students for the second major as English Interpretation.
This training program is applied for students who were admitted into one of the two above colleges. After the first academic year, students would apply for this program and be approved. If the students meet all necessary conditions, each of them would study parallel training programs of both colleges. Therefore, after 5 - 6 years, they would have two regular university degrees of two independent majors from the UEB and the CFL. This is a great opportunity for students of two colleges to take advantages of both VNU’s training units in particular and of VNU in general in education and training, to receive knowledge comprehension, to meet the increasing requirements of social workforce. The celebration was not only the opening event of a new course which noted students of both the colleges: the UEB and the CFL; but it was also a milestone, marking a new progress in continuing and cooperative training between the two units of VNU. That affirmed the judicious guideline of maximizing internal force of the colleges and advantages of VNU to meet the demands of society and country.
Addressing at the celebration, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phung Xuan Nha - Rector of the UEB and Prof. Nguyen Hoa - Rector of the CFL affirmed the preeminence and the direction to execute this cooperative training program effectively. They also congratulated the new students and expected that, through this cooperative training, students of the two colleges could strengthen all their abilities, effort in study and improve knowledge for a devoting future.
Also at the celebration, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc - Vice President of VNU highly appreciated the vanguard’s position of the UEB and the CFL in deploying the continuing and cooperative training to uphold VNU’s strength of multi-major, multi-major, multi-field of VNU. He also hoped that “two colleges would continue to create more resonance for the goal of sustainable development which two colleges have been persuading”.
