The University of Economics and Business (UEB-VNU) focuses on the exchange of lecturers around the world because this is not only an opportunity for lecturers to improve their knowledge and develop their capacity in teaching and researching, but also serves as an “extension arm” of UEB in establishing connections with international universities. Ms. Tong Thi Minh Phuong, a lecturer of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, during the exchange program at Sofia University (SU), Bulgaria, had many positive activities in order to develop expertise and widen connections.
After signing a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Economics and International Business, the University of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University in April 2022, Ms Phuong had a chance to meet the Rector of Sofia University – Dr Habil Anastas Gerdzhikov, and the Vietnam Ambassador in Bulgaria, to discuss the possibility of cooperation between SU and other Vietnamese University. The meeting is not only a chance to advance the implementation of ongoing projects, but it also establishes the prerequisites for many intriguing and potential areas of cooperation, including short-term training projects, and research exchange between the two universities.

In addition, Ms Phuong also had a meeting with Prof. Sonia Mileva – Lecturer at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, connector signed a cooperation agreement between UEB and SU.

On November 25, 2022, the 10th CIECI International Conference, which has partners within and outside Vietnam, including Sofia University in Bulgaria, was held in Hanoi. On the same day of the conference is also a big anniversary of Sofia University – the celebration of the Patron Saint of St. Kliment Ohridski, Ms. Phuong arrived and presented flowers to celebrate the university’s anniversary. She discussed with SU representatives about the CIECI Seminar, which helped to gradually realize the MOU agreement that the two institutions had signed, with the Rector of Sofia University in Bulgaria.

During the time of the exchange of lecturers, in December 2022, lecturer Minh Phuong had many new experiences in teaching such as presenting on the topic "Bilateral economic relations between Vietnam - Bulgaria" to SU students.

During the Lunar New Year, a group of 20 Vietnamese language students at SU and professors and lecturers were invited to attend the Spring Home program at the Vietnam Embassy in Bulgaria to learn. More about Vietnamese culture and community activities.

Each lecturer at UEB who takes part in the exchange program acts as an ambassador, bridging UEB's cooperation efforts with those of foreign universities and establishing a foundation for communication between the two parties to carry out a variety of worthwhile and fruitful activities for both students and lecturers.
