In the fourth quarter of 2022, the Business and Economics field of Vietnam National University, Hanoi was first ranked by the THE WUR by subject 2023 in the position 501-600. VNU University of Economics and Business proud to be the key contributor to this achievement of the VNU.
On October 26, 2022, Times Higher Education announced the results of the world ranking by field in 2023 (THE WUR by Subjects 2023). Accordingly, 6 Vietnamese higher education institutions participate in the world rankings in subjects.

In this assessment, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, added two new areas to be ranked: Business and Economics and Life Sciences. Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi is the first Vietnamese public university to enter the THE ranking in the field of Business and Economics. THE World University Ranking by Subject ranks 11 fields of universities based on three data sources: survey results (independently conducted by THE), scientific publication on Scopus (under Elsevier Publishing) and data provided by higher education institutions. The scoring weights are standardized by THE for each specific field. The ranking results are evaluated based on 5 groups of criteria including: Teaching - Research - Citation - Industry Income - International outlook.
