On 7 April 2016, VNU University of Economics and Business in cooperation with the Young Economists Club (YEC) organized the information session of UEB Genesis Start-up to introduce and provide more details on this event to students.
Representatives of VNU-UEB to attend and share information in this program are Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh - Office of Research and Partnership Development.
Genesis is the contest on business startup and initiates from University of Sydney. With education at our core, Sydney Genesis wants to offer our students and staff the opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurs around the world and to get in contact with new and exciting startup ecosystems. For these reasons, Genesis Startup Program has started its expansion to South East Asia through a relationship with EDNA (Entrepreneurship Development Network Asia). In 2014, thanks to partnerships developed with national universities, EDNA Genesis was held in Myanmar (National College of Management - EPP Program, Yangon) and Indonesia (Sunam Ampel University in Surabaya). In 2015 and 2016, the program will expand to Vietnam, India and Japan. In October 2015, the winners of each program will join the Final Pitch in Sydney to promote the exchange of ideas and network development among young university entrepreneurs.
UEB Genesis Startup 2016 targets to all students, graduate students, alumni of the University of Economics and Business. Contestants register and participate in groups. Award for the winner will be 30 million including a trip to Australia with the opportunity to attend the final pitch with other countries.

Sharing in the Info session, Dr. Le Trung Thanh confirmed the entrepreneurship spirit of Vietnam's young generation today and called for the creativity and enthusiasm of the students who wish to start a business and realize their business ideas. Dr. Le Trung Thanh also emphasized the value, benefits and practical significance of the contest for students.

Next, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Linh provided to students with important information on submitting the application, regulations, requirements, schedule of the contest and prizes. The students participated in the Info session also raises a lot of questions to clarify all issues related to the contest.
