On 16 December, 2014, Vietnam Certification Center (QUACERT) under Vietnam Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality held the 2nd surveillance - Stage 2 for the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 at VNU University of Economics and Business.
After the opening session, two members of evaluation team - Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen and Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh assessed 7 member units of UEB, namely: Office of Research and Partnership Development, Office of Academic Affairs, Center for Higher Educational Quality Assurance, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Development Economics and Faculty of Political Economics. This surveillance aimed at evaluating training activities, scientific research, quality assurance testing within certified scopes of higher education, postgraduate, scientific research in the field of economics and business administration of the UEB.
After a hard-working, serious and effective day, QUACERT completed the 2nd surveillance - Stage 2 for the UEB Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008.
In the afternoon, the experts had a meeting to summarize assessment, with the presence of UEB representatives, including Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tai - UEB Vice Rector, Chief of ISO Executive Board together with representatives of functional faculties, offices and centers of the UEB.
Reporting assessment results, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen - Leader of evaluation team said: “QUACERT highly appreciates the concerns of UEB leaders about implementing and maintaining system. The staff, teachers are highly qualified, well-experienced and always follow procedures and regulations set forth”.
Evaluation team came to conclusion that there were no inconsistencies and suggested QUACERT to continually certificate UEB’s Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008
