On 18th November, 2014, the VNU University of Economics and Business solemnly held the announcement ceremony of Decision to establish the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing directly under the VNU-UEB.
To be present at the ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, UEB Rector, Vice Rectors, heads of offices/departments of VNU-UEB, representatives of universities, corporations, enterprises - UEB’s partners together with UEB’s staff, teachers and students of Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, VNU-UEB.

At the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son, UEB Rector awarded Decisions to establish and nominate Dean and Associate Dean of the Faculty to Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Anh Tai and Dr. Tran The Nu. In his speech to congratulate the establishment of the faculty, the Rector emphasized that “Faculty of Accounting and Auditing was established to bring a new position with advantages and opportunities; however, there remain many important missions ahead. Board of Management of UEB expected that leaders and teachers of the Faculty continue to mobilize intelligence, youth, creativity, solidarity and cooperation to develop the faculty and grasp the opportunities, overcome difficulties and successfully fulfill the missions set out"..
On behalf of Board of Management of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tai spoke to receive his new tasks and thanked UEB for its care and support for the Faculty.
At the ceremony, the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing honorably received funding from UEB’s partners such as Sunway Hanu Program - Hanoi University, ACMAN Technology Development Joint Stock Company, FAST Software Company, Joint stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) in order to encourage and promote students to study hard and get good academic results.

In the solemn and meaningful ceremony, student Nguyen Thi Bich Hue, representative of over 200 students of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing delivered her speech and shared her feelings, happiness and pride to become the first student generation of the faculty of Accounting and Auditing, VNU-UEB; at the same time, promised to study well, contributing to the strong development of the faculty.

A new path has started.
