Developing Master training program in Finance with University of Bordeaux

It was agreed to continue to discuss about the further steps between University of Economics and Business and University of Bordeaux
On 9 April 2013, a delegation University of Bordeaux (France) has paid a visit and working session at the VNU University of Economics and Business.


Leading the delegation of University of Bordeaux was Prof. Michel Dupuy, who is in charge of master’s training programs. Associating him was Assoc.Prof. Yves Jegourel and Assoc.Prof. Jean-Marie Cardebat. Receiving the delegation was VNU-UEB Rector, Dr. Vu Anh Dzung and heads of Office of Reseach and Partnership Development, Faculty of Finance - Banking and Center for International Training and Education.
At the meeting, representatives of the two sides were cooperating to develop a master’s joint training program in Finance. The program is expected to be taught entirely in English. During the first year of the program, together with 12 subjects, including six subjects delivered by foreign lecturers and six others by Vietnamese lecturers, the graduates must complete the graduation thesis. After completing the curriculum and meeting graduation requirements, the graduates are awarded a Master’s degree in Finance by the University of Bordeaux, France.
To conclude the working session, two sides agreed to have further discussion for specific activities. Vice Rector of the VNU-UEB, Dr. Vu Anh Dzung expressed his confidence in the feasibility of the cooperation program as well as his expectation to build a long-term relationship with University of Bordeaux and other universities from French, where had an advanced environment of higher education in the world.
