UEB leader meeting with Hapro representatives

The meeting between UEB and Hanoi Trade Corporation representatives was conducted in friendly and open atmosphere
On September 6th 2012, Vice Rector of VNU-UEB, Dr. Vu Anh Dzung chaired the working session with the delegation from Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro) headed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Thanh - PR Manager.


Attending the meeting on Hapro’s side was Mr. Tran Manh Dzung - Head of Personnel Division, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thang - Deputy Director of Community development and charity fund of Hapro. On UEB’s side were Heads of Office of Training, Office of Research and Partnership Development, Office of General Administration, Center for Student Service together with Center for International Training and Education.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed about areas of potential cooperation based on a long-term efficient and in-depth foundation. Dr. Vu Anh Dzung introduced to Hapro managers aspects that the two sides could have cooperation such as: scholarships to students, organizing field trips, exchanging experience between the company and students, co-organize events and workshops… Besides, the UEB could also provide services or organize short courses to improve capacity-building for Hapro; provide high qualified human resources for Hapro from UEB’s students. The Hapro side agreed to support UEB in several areas of high quality training, facilities for students’ living needs; receiving students for apprentice and recruit if they meet the requirements...
Representative of Hapro Management expressed confidence in areas of potential cooperation, especially receiving students for apprentice, giving lectures, exchanging topics, sharing experiences to students, establishing annual scholarship fund, funding facilities... this was also Hapro’s aspiration to assist potential students, facilitating them with the best conditions during their study at UEB. Moreover, Hapro would cooperate with UEB to develop short-term training courses to improve managerial skills for the company’s managers. Especially, Hapro committed to consider the funding for the university in its coming event entitled Vietnam Human Resources Day 2012 in October 2012 and preparing for the 5 year anniversary of UEB’s establishment in November 2012.
Closing the meeting, the two parties agreed to continue considering the cooperation areas proposed, whereby final decisions would be recorded in a memorandum of understanding.
Results achieved at the meeting did not only show the cooperation orientations between universities and enterprises to improve training and research quality but also aimed at producing society-driven products, especially enterprises’ needs. On the other hand, university-enterprise cooperation was hoped to bring about opportunities for business community to have the direct access to development initiates, inventions and counseling services of the university.
