UEB kicks off the training program in Sports Management with Manchester Metropolitan University

On 6th March 2019, representatives of Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), United Kingdom, had a meeting with leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business to discuss the training of Sports Management.


Attending the meeting, from Manchester Metropolitan University there were Mr. Rick Canavan - Head of International Cooperation, Faculty of Law and Business; from University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dang Minh - Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration and MA. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development.

At the meeting, representatives of the two universities discussed cooperation in training of Sports Management and joint training in Logistics, Hospitality Management; top-up programs: 3+1 (bachelor); franchise training: 3+1+1 (bachelor and master); short-term training (study tour).


The two universities will cooperate in training 3+1 top-up programs at bachelor level, which create the chances for the students to study in the international environment and receive degrees from advanced university with low cost. MMU is willing to implement a 3 + 1 top-up programs with UEB in Business Administration and International Economics, students who complete 3 years at UEB have the opportunity to transfer to MMU for 1 year and get a degree, Foreign language conditions: IELTS 6.0

 

At the meeting, MMU introduced the training content, program, examination and evaluation of the Franchise training program... which can be implemented in Vietnam with bachelor's degrees issued by MMU.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of MMU and UEB expected to cooperate in the training of Sports Management. For the UEB, the training in Sports Management shows the needs for human resource in the field of sport management.
